It's a lot of work, but so worth it in the dead of winter!
If we had room to store a large amount of cooked meat I would do that too. Unfortunately I end up cooking through out the winter.
I don't mind cooking in the winter. Unless it is only 10 degrees. Takes a lot of fuel (wood and charcoal) to cook a pork shoulder for 12 hours.

Fifty couple of pounds reduced to about 20-21 pounds, all put away for the winter months. Smoker cleaned and put away, and the house cleaned up. A lot of work, but so worth it all winter long. I bought the PartyQ to keep my smoker at temp and it works very well, I just completed the mod on it to use ac power instead of batteries. Will try that mod out next time.
