I have a Savage axis 30-06 22" barrel and plan on using 150gr combined technology bullets. What do y'all recommend for a powder and COAL? Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

I’ll send you some info when I get home. I can’t think off top of my head right now.

150 grain Nosler BT over IMR 4895. I have killed a bunch of deer with this combo. COL varies as I adjust it to work best in whichever rifle I am using.
Any one else?

Sorry for delay. My best groups were with 57.5-57.9 gr. H4350 my OAL was 3.250. I’m playing with that now to dial it in. Hope this helps.

I've had the best luck with H4350 but recently have been using IMR4064 due to better availability. Load for 2 different 06's and use 2 different COAL's. That part will be gun specific.
On a whim I looked up load data for H335 since I have a bunch on hand and loaded up a few.51.0 grains behind a 165 grain Nosler Accubond has been my load for the past two seasons.

No tracking involved with any of the three
That’s proof there can be more than one good powder. Nice work. Not one I’d have thought of using.

H335, it is my go to powder for most rifles, including 30-06.
