I am going to finish up the 44mag with 210gr cast with 4227. Work on some new test loads for my old Swede. Then load up some .38 Super.

Can’t wait to hear how that Swede does!

I acquired a couple thousand once-fired LC 5.56 brass about 6 months ago and have had too much going on to address it. This weekend I plan on cutting down about 1K rounds for 300AAC and getting that going... kind of a pain in the butt but it beats finding & buying new or shooting up the reserves..
You are set. Let us know how it goes.

This weekend was pretty productive. I loaded 100 45 Colt with 250gr cast RNFP and trailboss. And 476 45acp with 230gr xtreme RN and W231.
I also made some test loads for 45Colt with 255gr Xtremes and unique. And 45acp with 230gr Rainier HP and W231 and bullseye.
I primed my starline 45-70, and decapped 100+ 257 Roberts brass.
Ive got a bunch more things to do, on my list.

Put together some 44mag last night. 210gr powder coated cast and IMR 4227. First time using 4227 in pistol rounds. Anxious to see how they shoot.https://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/202...52f495a47c.jpg

Made a short to-do list for reloading that I left on the bench last night. Haven’t been able to get much else done as we are beginning to shop for our first house. Hopefully I can get a little better space for a better bench!

A lazy afternoon loading some 9mm odd bullet lots I have to use them up. Not worth changing over the progressive, so doing it on the chucker. I find it very relaxing.
My Rockchucker was good enough for so many years until . . . I bought my first auto, a Sig P227 and then another and then the Mrs and the daughter bought some more autos and somehow, I am supposed to provide ammo for all of them. I broke down and got a Hornady AP and I love it. I use it only for 9mm, 45acp and 300BO. I am a precision rifle guy at heart but the last few years I have taken a little side trip. Hoping to get back to the 6mmbr and the 204 this summer.
I’m a rifle guy first and foremost. I did precision shooting years ago. My loading style now, is a mix of just making quality hunting ammo, and making precision ammo. I just can’t let some things go, but i have a ton of fun with it. Ive only ever owned my Rockchucker that I bought new in 91, and a Sinclair arbor press that I used to load for my benchrest rifles.
In the past year I have been thinking about getting a lee 4 hole turret or a Dillon 550, for my pistol ammo. I only have 4 autoloaders, the rest are revolvers. I feel like the Dillon would be the better piece, but all of the buy once cry once fanboys have turned me off on their products. The lee turret has a huge following and a reputation for turning out quality ammo. But for now the Rockchucker gets the job done.

Everyone around me looking for ammo like crack heads needing a fix, and here I am laughing. Loading up some 5.56 for a rainy day. https://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/202...0e0a0a77a8.jpg

My last trip to the range, my 13 year old and I took 7 handguns. We were shooting loading shooting loading, you get the picture. I had 3 different people ask me where I got so much ammo. I felt sorry for one kid (16-18), his dad was only letting him load 3 rounds in the magazine at a time, to conserve ammo.

Definitely don't have to wait for a lane lately. [emoji23][emoji23][emoji23][emoji23]

Loading some 45 HAP's this afternoon, my observation . . . . Unique sucks to meter/weigh. I never used much of it and now I am reminded why, lol.
I didn’t get much done this weekend. Deprimed and cleaned some brass. Loaded some 45 colts with 8.0gr of unique and 230gr rainier HP, to try. Loaded some 45-70 test loads with 325gr ftx, and made some test loads for 32 Winchester special with Hornady 170gr FP.
I made a list with about 10 things to do, now just need to find the time and energy to do it.

Had the weekend at home and didn’t get much done. I did however install a wear plate on my press.
So awhile back I was going through current and older a Forster (and Bonanza) Co-Ax owners manual and parts lists. I realized that my press was missing a wear plate under the shellholder’s sliding jaws. So I decided I should probably purchase one. I threw it in with my last Midway order and finally took the minute to install it. Ha. Not much done lately, and this part will force me to re-Adjust all my dies. I’m a set-it-and-leave-it kind of guy so now have to get my rear in gear and readjust everything. In order to do that, I really should make sure my rifles are cleaned so when I adjust the dies to minimally resize for each chamber they will have true sizes rather than a false size that could be due to built up firing residue. It’s always something isn’t it? Haha. Hopefully I’ll get loading again in 2021!https://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/202...a0ca439323.jpg

This weekend I loaded a few odd lots of bullets in 9mm and 45. And prepped some 243 brass to use some powder that I inherited from my Father who passed away almost 2 years ago now. I got some H414 as well as some H450, which I believe is not even being made anymore. I have load data in some of my older manuals and would like to try them just for giggles, if he liked it there was a reason.
H450 was a popular powder. I don’t know why they discontinued it.

Worked on a new caliber for the first time last night, .17 Hornet. It was fun to load and I can't wait to shoot it. Right now I have 25gr VMAX over LT-30 and 20gr Nosler Varmageddons over IMR 4227https://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/202...a1b825e3b3.jpghttps://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/202...c3638f7a12.jpg

In honor of my Dad, I am going "Old School" with my 243 tomorrow. In all honesty, I think only the powder came from him, but it is all vintage. I have 5 manuals old enough to have H450 in and I can't wait to pull the trigger on some of these. Oh, and if you can't quite see it, the price on the powder is $2.49.

First test loads. My thoughts so far on H450, it meters great and has super case capacity with the 243. Can't wait to see how it shoots. As far as I know, none of these components are being produced any longer. Might show my age a little, lol. Oh yeah, check out how many posts this makes for me

Last night I sized some 7x57 range brass, still need to trim it.
This morning I neck sized and primed 99 257 Roberts brass, to fireform to 257 Ackley. I also pulled 30 45/70 rounds apart (that were given to me years ago),I like using these unknown primers for my fireforming so I don’t have to use any in my stash.
Ive got some 22-250 and 308 marlin express I need to pull down also, but I’ll save that for another day.
