Not really note cards, they are generated by the software I use for tracking all my reloading.

It’s been too cold to shoot here lately, and work has been busy as crap, so I’ve just been slowly prepping some 223 brass for my AR.

Finally getting back to reloading a bit. Spent a couple hours last night over a zoom call with my cousin, who’s starting to reload, on going over the steps of setting up a sizing die and going over the steps of trimming/deburring/chamfering. He’s read the ABC’s of Reloading and I think just got overwhelmed a bit. Since I have to reset all my dies since the addition of a wear plate to my co-ax, I figured it’d be helpful for him to see the process. It worked well too as I had my rifle handy to show the process of adjusting to your rifles chamber rather than just following the directions that come with the dies. All in all, I resized 5 pieces of brass for my .338-06. Haha! I’m getting somewhere!

I almost wish I had that problem! Ha! Since I’m not shooting much, I’m slowly going through all rifles and cleaning them. Once the bores are cleaned the corresponding sizing die gets re-adjusted.
Long list of reloading to do before moving into our own house in April-May. This move will be easy as it’s just across town rather than across a few states.

Nothing too exciting but I worked on setting up more dies last night. I got the dies set up for my .30-06 and .243. I don’t know why, but I hate setting up dies. It’s tedious but at least now I know they are set up to my rifles chamber for minimal resizing.

Haven’t been at the bench much. Corncob tumbled some 223 and 7x57 brass today.
But I did make it to the range today. Shot my 32 Winchester special, 45-70 1895g, puma92 454, Rossi92 357, SBH 45 colt, cimarron arms birds head 45colt, Taurus judge, bond arms snake slayer, glock 30sf, 1911, and Springfield XDM 9mm. Some was plinking, some was load development. Felt great to get out.

Pulled a scope off my .338-06 as the scope wasn’t level and it’s been bothering me. Since I had the rifle out of commission I decided I’d also pull the action from the stock to clean the dust out. When I did that, I found a couple cracks in the stock splitting apart my bedding job and doing at least 1/2” deep in a couple places. I’m less than pleased. I’ll be on the phone with the manufacturer tomorrow at some point. It’s always something. Just when I was feeling that I had this rifle squared away, this happens. Hope everyone had a better weekend than I did. https://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/202...e578b19a95.jpg

The one in the picture can be seen just left of the action bolt hole going the full length of that bedded portion of the. It’s a thin, but straight crack. Not that I want to monkey around with it myself but if the manufacturer won’t do anything for me, I’ll at least try and fix it. Might be a hack job, but I think I can fix it. [emoji1696][emoji1696]

Another 30-30 test load. 165gr Hunters Supply cast and Unique. I have owned my 30-30 for a long time and just started loading for it. It is a lot of fun.https://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/202...8ce8f0ee92.jpg

Well, my bench time to range time ratio is definitely off, and it is raining again this morning so, I guess it is back to the bench. I think I'll pull one out that I haven't shot in a few years, the 220 Swift. I landed some 50gr Z-Max a year or so ago and I'd like to see how they do for me. I need a few range trips to get caught up, lol.
It has literally been years since I reloaded anything for this rifle. This is a group I shot back in 1995, then in 1997 I had a case rupture because I didn't understand at that time about shooting in the July heat. Had a little cut off the barrel and re-chambered and had a lot of good groups since then. Also, it's taken down it's fair share of PA groundhogs. I will definitely try BL-C2 again and I've had good success with Varget and H4895 as well. My record notebook from back then got wet somewhere along the line and some of my records are illegible at this point so it's kinda like starting over again.

That’s a great group.
My two main loads I’ve shot out of 220 Swift’s over the years, have been 50gr vmax with W760 and 55gr ballistic tips with IMR4064. I haven’t shot my Swift’s in years, these were back when I prairie dog hunted a lot. Gutted skinned and quartered them, all at the same time.

JTD, what rifles do you have in 220 Swift? I think mine is a custom built Yeager rifle on (I believe) a Mauser 98 action with a Robert W. Hart stainless barrel on. I suspect the barrel could soon show signs of reaching EOL, but I don't shoot it anymore.
My original was a Remington 700 VS. it gave up the ghost after approximately 2250 rounds. Now I have a Ruger no1V, Remington 700 VSSF II, and one built on a 98 Mauser with a medium heavy barrel of unknown origin (I have not shot this one).

I put together these test loads last night for my Garand. 178gr Hornady match and H4895. Haven't shot my Garand for a while, looking forward to it.https://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/202...9686b1d23d.jpg
