I think you'll like it. I modifief mine with a bracket and rubberbands. My 9 yr old grandson does just about all my priming now.
Your probably right. I use the Lyman hand primer and I works great for me the rcbs hand primer that came in the kit I tossed didn’t like it so that why I’m unsure on the auto prime
