Universal flaring die from Lee

Some flat base bullets are tight on 223. Is it a good idea to use a the Lee universal flaring tool to flare them ever so slightly or is a bad idea? I just don't want crush the case. Any advice would be appreciated.

Try chamfering the inside of the case mouth more. Flaring is usually done for cast bullets which tend to be over bore size and has a tendency to shorten case life with high pressure bottle neck cases.

Thanks. I'll check it out. No issues with neck tension? Just plan on using it for flat base bullets.

I have used the Lee die for loading flat base 8x57 bullets. Just the slightest flare makes seating way easier. I used the factory crimp die adjusted to just take out the flare.
