Ive got some 178gr eldx to load up for my 308s. Looking to use Varget for powder. Have federal brass and some wolf and cci LR primers. Would love to hear what is working for anyone that is shooting the 178s. I will be doing a full work up but would like to see load data to see if there happens to be a charge weight i may want to load some extras of or load around by .1gr if there seems to be a trend.
No bodys loading the 178 eldx for 308???
I do not. I’m working on 200gr eld-x right now.

I loaded them for 300 win mag only. Very accurate but for elk was a bit worried about frangibility so changed to Federal Trophy Bonded.
I’ve got some test loads for the 178 ELD-X in 308 but I’m trying IMR-4064 first.

Did you have any luck running them over Varget. I have some of that on hand as well.

I know holland had good success accuracy wise with 308, varget, and 178gr eld x.

Let me find my data! I hope I still have it but Varget is my go-to and shoot awesome! Still some tweaking to be done
