454 casull reloading
OK fellas I'll take some advice here. 240gr XTP mags with H110 powder. Should I stay with powder manufacturer or projectile manufacturer. Seems to be a bit of a difference in loads. Pics from hornady 9th edition and Hodgdon website. I loaded 37.0 gr. New raging judge magnum. Dont want to take it to kit form.https://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/201...b8b3c92581.jpghttps://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/201...56c62f9108.jpg

I reload with the 300 stop mag. I use the hornady info and it works fine, 31gn bruised my hand. I've heard hornady plays it safe also.

I've heard they are very conservative. It's just .1 above their max. I just thought I'd toss the question out there. I'll back off if they seem a bit hot.

I got the same gun so hang on tight and have fun.
P.s. you probably won't shoot more than 20 at a time.

I've run 40 through it and a bunch of 45lc and .410. It's fun to shoot considering I'm kind of a recoil junkie....https://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/201...2fdb172d9d.jpg

I shoot a bunch of 45 and 454, the 410 I'm just not impressed with. I'd carry one incase I run into a snake. My biggest problem was finding someone to make a holster for it.

Uncle Mike's ?? I had the 6" Taurus chambered in 454Casull. Great gun. Handled quite a few close to 60,000psi loads of 360 and 335gr WFNGC's.
With the expansion chamber and red grips,it was easier on the hand/arm than my Ruger Super Blackhawk 44 mag. --- SAWMAN
