I don’t have copy and paste or link identification capability for a couple of days. I’m sure someone will do it before I can.
In general a wall thickness of .013” is real close to being a problem.
Usually .014” is too thick, .012” is fine.
Problematically with a couple of manufacturers their brass may be made in differing locations, having differing wall thicknesses, Federal is one of them.
Few people I've talked to said federal is fine. I will make a dummy round and test it out. I have a Sheridan case gage to verify the case. I also do have Speer brass. I'll post how it works out. Just waiting on the Jig should have it next week.Quote:

It is reputed the “newer” Federal brass “may” be thicker.
Based on the picture, it appears you have both the old and new on hand, cut and chamfer/debur each of those and see.
I have no reports on the Speer.
