Ghetto Annealing..
Been playing with a propane torch and my drill trying to figure out a cheap way to anneal my brass. All I wanna know is how do these look so far? I’ve only done about 50 pieces (25 .308, and 25 .358 Yeti). I noticed it was easier forming the annealed brass for my Yeti and they sized very consistently unlike the ones I have formed in the past. Looking for some input and maybe some advice. I cooked the Yeti brass(not pictured yet) for 7 seconds and the 308 for about 5-6https://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/201...0b021df267.jpg

Its hard to tell by looks alone. Get you some 750 Tempilaq so you know when the brass hits the appropriate temp.

Yep. Can't anneal by 'Sight" no matter what people say.
Need to get Templaque to do it right, and not over anneal or under anneal it.
Proper time, and heat are required, or you are just wasting time and gas, and possibly brass

Gotcha I’ll have to get some then thanks!

Make sure you get the thinner as well because the Tempilaq does tend to thicken and dry out over time in the bottle. just a drop or 2 when you notice it getting lumpy will help thin it back out again after shaking it really well to mix the thinner in.

Thanks guys. This was just temporary until I pull the trigger on salt bath annealing. Trying to save up for powder and primers but I need Ed to anneal my former brass
