Picked up a really nice arisaka that looks like an older sporterization (Lyman 46 sight, Fajen Monte Carlo stock) I’ve gotten a pretty good quote to have the chamber reamed out to 30-06, figured I’d buy a .311 expander ball and load the .311 projectiles into the 06’ cases. Anyone have any experience with something like this?

I have not had one personally, but had an older friend who did. He used standard 30-06 load data for the weight .311 bullet he was using. Worked perfectly.

That was my primary question, using the 30-06 data provided your pushing the same weight.
