Used dies
I bought some used dies from ebay...for calibers I dont even own...yet. lol. Anyway, my question is, they're a little dirty with what looks like dried case lube, is it okay t ok dry tumble dies...lee dies with the finger locking ring....of course I'd remove the locking nut and o-ring. Does anyone have any experience doing this? Or, is there a better way to clean them up? They arent rusted, just dirty with what appears to be dried case lube. Thanks in advance.

You can tumble them, with good results, especially if you soak them a little before.
My personal experience was I bought some from eBay and they were garbage, I sent them back to Redding and they were replaced for free.
My cost was postage to....

Cool. I appreciate it. What do you soak them with first?

Used dies
I soaked mine in PB Blaster, they just had surface oxidation and not pitting.

To help remove the old case lube you can spray them with brake cleaner and rub. Or soak them in acetone. You'll need an airtight container as acetone evaporates quickly. Preferably like a Tupperware container. They won't melt.
