What dies for a 300 Blackout ?

I am about to start reloading for 300 Blackout. I plan on using it in a AR pistol platform. Currently I reload for .223/.556 and use RCBS small base dies for my AR. I have never been really sold on the small base die principle but they have run well for me so far. So for the 300 Blackout, should I go with the RCBS 2 pc small base die, standard 2 pc die or the 3 pc Lee die set that comes with a crimp die? I have used Lee dies for my bolt guns for years with great success. If it matters I use a single stage press.

Go with the RCBS Small BAse set, and get the Lee Factory Crimp die, and like will be great!!

I’ve had good luck with RCBS regular dies that were the first dies I bought before I learned about SB dies. Load for a couple 300 BO without issue and I do use the Lee crimp die. I have had to get SB dies in 223 after a new rifle wouldn’t chamber with regular dies. Like Wes said if you go with SB you don’t have to worry

I drink red Kool aid. I use regular Hornady dies. I load for 2 300 BLK Out. And 2 .223 and have no issue. If you buy Hornady dies you get free bullets!!

I have the Lee set and have had no problems.

Regular ol' Hornady dies for me also. No probs if you take the time to set them right. --- SAWMAN
