25x45 and hogs
I shot 9 last night, 7 got into a huge sagegrass field and couldn’t find blood once they got in there. I recovered 1 bullet from the pictured hog. I was using 87 grain Sierra Varminter. Shot was about 50 yards and the bullet retained 61.3 grains after clipping the shoulder blade then hitting the spine and clipping the other shoulder blade. Overall I’m pretty impressed with the performance. https://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/201...bf736068a2.jpghttps://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/201...1d385802e5.jpghttps://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/201...28223fe2c7.jpg

Private land, no license requirements or restrictions on private land here. They aren’t considered wildlife so the state doesn’t control hunting them

You can currently hunt on Forest Service property but not state owned or managed property or corps or engineers as i understand it. They are difficult to hunt simply because they range so much. They are here one night and maybe 10 miles away the next.
