Chamber measurements

I measured the chamber on my S&W M&P sport 15 with 5 various bullets. Here's the #'s
50gr Zmax 2.305
50gr Ballistic silvertips 2.380
55gr Hornady fmjbt 2.345
65gr Sierra matchkings 2.366
69gr Sierra matchkings 2.388
Obviously none of these are close to what my usual oal of 2.250 is. Is this what's potentially killing my accuracy?

With your rifle your barrel and your trigger are very important. Are you shooting from a sled when you were testing your loads? You definitely want to shoot for my sled to get the exact same site picture.

What kind of accuracy are you getting? It doesn’t seem to be an enormous jump to the lands. One thing you could try, is load some up with the bullet seated out further, and single load them to see if the groups get any tighter.

That's part of the problem I think. I don't have a portable bench. Been shooting prone...

Honestly the accuracy isn't bad, I think it could be better. I've got the groups down pretty tight, just seems consistency is the issue. I don't have a portable bench and have been shooting prone.

You definitely want to have a sturdy platform, and you want to have the same site picture. Too many things have contributing factors to accuracy. Take out the shakiness, the breathing factor, and not getting the same sight picture can really improve your ladder test

That may could be more of a problem than the jump to the lands. And I’m curious to see if your new trigger helps any.

I have a feeling the trigger will/should help. The trigger now isn't terrible, but it's not consistent. Sometimes there's some take up then it breaks, other times no take up and a bit more pull until it breaks.
