Ive been using LC brass in my bolt gun for some time now.
Picked up some once fired lapua that i fl prep and all.
Loaded some up for a velocity test.
Rounds chambered fine but fought me tooth and nail
After fireing To extract and showed no pressure signs.
The fireformed unprocessed case will not rechamber.
Whats goin on?
A sticky chamber may BE the first of your pressure signs. Does "the fight" include difficulty lifting the bolt handle?
You may simply have a dirty chamber. I use the chamber brush from my AR kit to clean my bolt guns, too, and for just that reason.
I fire 1,000-1,300 rounds a week when I'm active with my .223 bolt guns and they have taught me to clean the chamber as well as barrel.
